Question – I just started using Quickbooks Self Employed and linked all my accounts and started categorizing expenses….then hit a brick wall. Is there seriously no inventory/COG category? I googled it and unfortunately, that seems right. Is there a workaround or should I get a different program?
Answer – Glad you asked before getting too far into the program, but QB Self-Employed software is essentially an expense report and not a true double-entry accounting software. I wish they would make it more clear. You may want to see if they will replace this software with Quickbooks Simple Start as that should take care of your needs.
